Past Asian Festival Events

The Asian Festival celebrates the cultural and historical presence of the Chinese, Filipino, and Japanese communities in Salinas. The Buddhist Temple, the Confucius Church and the Filipino Cultural Center will open their doors to the community. Throughout the day there will be guided tours highlighting the history of the neighborhood including the Buddhist Temple and the Bing Kong Tong meeting hall and alter. There will be delicious food and demonstrations of tai chi, Filipino folk dancing, kendo ikebana (flower arranging), bonsai display, and more.
